『三種の神器』八咫鏡（やたのかがみ）・草薙神剣（くさなぎのみつるぎ）・八尺瓊勾玉（やさかにのまがたま）のうちの一つである草薙神剣（くさなぎのみつるぎ）が祀られている神社
草薙神剣とは、日本神話の時代にまでさかのぼります。素盞嗚尊（すさのおのみこと）が、出雲で八岐大蛇（やまたのおろち）を退治した際に、その尻尾から現れたとされるのが草薙神剣です。
草薙神剣はのちに日本武尊の手に渡ることとなります。

一之御前神社
天照大神の荒魂が祀られている、熱田神宮の敷地内に祀られている神社です。
熱田神宮といえば『鶏』というイメージをお持ちの方のいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか？
『神鶏』とも呼ばれ、神の使いなんだそう。
最初はかわいい鶏が境内の中にいてびっくりしました！
多分この写真にとれた神鶏は名古屋コーチンだと思います。
運が良ければ、参拝時に会えるかも！？
～一之御前神社の歴史～（※wikipedia参照）
創建は景行天皇年間とも天武天皇在位年間ともいわれ、本宮からみて北西方向、「こころの小径」と呼ばれる参拝道の奥まったところにあるが、現在地には1893年（明治26年）に移転したもので、それ以前には現本宮の南東付近にありました。
祭神として天照大神荒魂（あまてらすおおかみあらみたま）を祀るっています。荒魂とは激しく動的な事象を生み出す神霊をいい、勇猛さ・進取の象徴ともなる。熱田神宮でこれが祀られる由縁も、伊勢神宮に荒祭宮（北緯34度27分22秒 東経136度43分30秒）があることと同義とされる。
伊勢神宮の荒魂が祀られているところにもたまたま前日に参拝してきました。つながりがあるみたいなので、もしかしたら呼ばれていたのかもしれません笑
